I’m so excited to introduce you to our “new” Next-Generation of Coborn’s stores in Isanti, MN. So many people have asked me what makes it so different and I thought why we don’t just go shopping. So I took a trip to the new Coborn’s Marketplace store so that I could walk you through it and introduce you to some of the employees that work there.

The Kitchen

First stop is the Brick-Fired Pizzas! Simply place an order when you stop in and you can pick it up hot and fresh when you leave the store. In the kitchen you will also find specialty sandwiches made on fresh artisan breads that are baked fresh in the Bake Shoppe every morning. You will also find a beautiful, fresh, self-serve hot case with a wide variety of entrees that makes lunch or dinner a breeze!

Specialty Cheese

If you are in Isanti, you have to stop by Coborn’s and visit our Cheese Monger, David, he has such a contagious spirit, you’ll be sure to walk away with a smile. Don’t know anything about cheese? That’s what David is there for, talk to him, get some free samples, pick up some cheese and make a new recipe. David is a “foodie” who loves to share recipes and stories! He’ll get you hooked!

Farmers’ Market

One of the most beautiful departments is the Farmers’ Market, under the direction of Bridget, they all have a great time providing our guests with the best quality produce and local, whenever possible.

Chop Shoppe

One of the things you will find in our new Coborn’s Marketplace stores is called the “Chop Shoppe”, no they will not disassemble your car, they will chop as you shop! For example, if you want fresh pineapple chunks but don’t want to deal with the prep work on your own, drop it off in the Chop Shoppe and they will cut it any way you want. Plus, you only pay for the part of the food you will eat. On that pineapple they will remove the core, rind and top, when it’s all done you pay a per pound fee for the meat of the pineapple, that’s all! The Chop Shoppe also produces fresh juices. They are made fresh with nothing added, it’s just fruit and veggies and that’s it, ask for a sample, they would be happy to introduce you to this delicious line of fresh juice!

Kids!

At Coborn’s we want to make sure the kids are happy and enjoy their experience at Coborn’s. Like our other Coborn’s stores we have a mechanical pony for the kids to ride, find the pony in the Dairy department in Isanti. A new feature to the Coborn’s Marketplace in Isanti is the COW! Simply look for the “red button” to press and the cow really talks to you! In the middle of the store you will also find a hopscotch game to get that exercise we all need. Don’t forget kids…this game isn’t for just you, be sure to get Mom and Dad involved too! Don’t forget a free cookie in the Bake Shoppe and free sucker at checkout, it’s good all around for the kiddos!

Isanti Meat Market and Fisherman’s Wharf

Now I just had to swing by the Isanti County Meat Market and Fisherman’s Wharf. There I met Luke, our Pit Master. A new addition to our Coborn’s Marketplace stores is an in-house smoker! Luke smokes meats all day long and provides them fresh for our guests. Just walking by you will enjoy the amazing smells! I went home with a fresh smoked chicken and as I would say… “to die for!”

The Meat Market and Fisherman’s Wharf also features a 65’ fresh case of meat and seafood! Yes, you read that right, SIXTY-FIVE feet! It is a beautiful sight! From beef to seafood, it’s all fresh and all good!

Well… that’s a lot for our first trip, I’ll continue with the tour of our new Coborn’s Marketplace in Isanti in two weeks on my next blog and video! If you can’t wait two weeks, I don’t blame you, stop by Coborn’s Marketplace in Isanti today, tell ‘em Jayne sent you!
