Cherry Pie
Ingredients
- 2 Pre-made Pie Crusts
Filling:
- 5 C. Fresh Cherries, pitted
- 2 tsp. Lemon Juice
- 1/4 tsp. Almond Extract
- 1 C. Sugar
- 1/3 C. Flour
- 1 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
Instructions
- Prep pie crust according to package directions and place one crust into a 9-in. pie plate. Trim crust even with rim. Set aside.
- Preheat oven to 375°.
- Place cherries in a large bowl and add lemon juice and almond extract. Toss to coat.
- In a small bowl, mix sugar, flour and cinnamon. Sprinkle into medium bowl over cherries and toss again to coat.
- Add filling into prepared pie crust.
- Take the remaining pie crust and cut into strips. Place strips over filling in a weaved pattern. Trim, seal and flute edge.
- Bake until crust is golden brown and filling is bubbly, 40-60 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
