Holiday Stuffing
Ingredients
- 1 Loaf French Bread
- 1 Lb. Bacon
- 2 C. Chopped Celery
- 1 Medium Onion, chopped
- 1/2 tsp. Sage
- 1/2 tsp. Basil
- 1/2 tsp. Oregano
- 1/2 tsp. Thyme
- Salt & Pepper, to taste
- 2 C. Chicken Broth
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ºF.
- Cut or rip french bread into 1 inch cubes. Place in large bowl and set aside.
- Cook bacon to desired doneness. Allow to cool, then crumble or cut into small pieces, reserving bacon fat. Add bacon to large bowl with bread.
- Sauté celery and onions in reserved bacon grease until softened, then add to large bowl with bread and bacon.
- Add seasonings and chicken broth to bowl; mix well.
- Transfer stuffing mix into a greased 9×13 dish and bake covered for 30 minutes.
- Uncover and bake for another 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
